Like many people I am a lifer in the mortgage business, and endured the struggles of the real estate market in 2007-2009. One thing I appreciate that came out of the struggle for me was the introduction to Bank of England, I met Jim Emery in early 2009 and actually choose not to come on board with BOE however instead sit back and watch one of my long standing friends Andy Yoerger come on board and “see how it went.” It didn’t take long until I realized my business partner (Tim Gill) and I needed to make the move to Bank of England, we joined the company June 15th 2009 and have never looked back. We never once asked ourselves is this the right place, is this company going to make it, or do I need to have a back up plan? The owners are genuine, we know where we stand with them at all times and more importantly they care. They care about you as a person, as a branch, and as a business partner. We have grown our business to levels higher than what we were doing during the “real estate boom.” We changed the way we did business instead of depending on someone else we were able to take control of our business. We went from a internet refinance operation in 2009 when we joined Bank of England to a 100% purchase organization and the number 1 branch in the company for 3 years running now. We currently are the number 2 lender in our county (based on market trac data reports) and we are beating much larger lenders every day in our own back yard. When we began at Bank of England in 2009 we used to get a lot of questions about who we were and off cuff comments about currency trades, flash forward to 2015 when the name Bank of England comes up in conversation we get things said to us like you guys are everywhere and you have the best closing process in the business! We are coming up on 7 years now with BOE and look forward to many more to come!

Oday and I have been business partners for 10 years this year, we have been through both fortunate and unfortunate times throughout those years. Like everyone in the mortgage industry we have had to adapt and adjust to the constant regulatory changes. We started out focusing primarily on the refinance business. In 2008 the first bank we were with went belly up and they left us with 40 employees that we had to pay out of our own pockets until we found a new "home". Then in 2014 the same thing happened and we were again left with multiple employees whose families depended on their job to support them. It was at this time in which we decided that if we were going to stay in this business that not we needed to find a final "home" that has the history and foundation for long term success. We traveled all over the country interviewing multiple banks/ mortgage companies and we always came back to Bank of England in our discussions. It is hard to find a bank with the foundation that BOE has, the simple fact that the same senior management has been in place for 25 + years speaks volumes.
The end of this month is our 2 year anniversary with BOE and we could not be more continent. When we joined BOE we made the transition from the "refi" world to the "purchase" world and have never looked back. It was very hard transition for the first year or so but with the incredible operations and back end support we were able to grow a great long term purchase business. BOE has given us the confidence to but our hard earned profits back into the business to continue to grow and prosper and for that we are truly grateful.

After working for the same bank for 15 years, receiving monthly recruiting calls, and visiting four different national lenders, it was an easy decision to choose Bank of England Mortgage. Change was going to be a major decision for myself and my team of loan officer’s and support staff. It was not something I was going to take light heartedly. Each of us have families and are very rooted in our market, so I wanted to ensure our decision was the right for my employees and referral partners. After visiting four other lenders, I sat down with BOE’s executive team and my mind was made up within five minutes of the meeting. Brad, Michael, and the entire executive team wants everyone to feel like family with a goal to do whatever it takes for your branch to succeed.
We have been a part of Bank of England Mortgage exactly one year and it has been amazing to see our success and growth. Not only the financial aspects, but the entire mortgage process experience. I have been in the industry for 20 years and have never met more knowledgeable people willing to help in every aspect of your business. Whether it is recruiting, product offering, processing, or underwriting everyone is willing to help you close loans and grow your business. They understand without our production, there would be no Bank of England Mortgage.
With 20 years in the industry (15 years at the same bank) and a 100% Realtor referral branch, it took me three years to finally make a decision. A decision that took five minutes after meeting the BOE staff. My only regret is I didn’t join Bank Of England Mortgage earlier!
